The mission of HEURO is to provide a platform for all professionals, academic and administrative,
who are involved in European issues in the context of UK higher and further education with a view
to discussing and promoting matters of common interest and disseminating good practice.

WHY JOIN HEURO?

Membership is institutional, with the main type of member being a University, College or Institute of Higher Education. HEURO also welcomes non-HEIs as members, such as representative organisations and national agencies for EU programmes.

ABOUT HEURO

HEURO is the Association of UK Higher Education European Officers.

It comprises a membership of over 100 institutions and is run by an elected Executive Committee.

The mission of HEURO is to provide a platform for all professionals, academic and administrative, who are involved in European issues in the context of UK higher and further education with a view to discussing and promoting matters of common interest and disseminating good practice.

Represent the views of its members when dealing with national and international professional and educational bodies, including the production of positioning papers on strategic issues and to act as a channel of communication between such organisations and HEURO’s members

Provide opportunities for staff involved in European activities to share experiences. In particular, provide initial professional development opportunities for those new to European activities

Promote models of good practice in obtaining European funding and in managing European funded programmes by sharing experiences of those working in this area within higher education

Promote the benefits of Internationalisation in Higher Education
