We are pleased to announce that HEURO is running its annual event specifically for members of staff who are new to the role. Our 2015 Newcomers’ Workshops will again take place in Coventry University on the 26th and 27th of August 2015.

The event is intended specifically for newcomers to the profession with little or no prior knowledge of Erasmus. However, any colleagues who would like to refresh their knowledge of the programme are also welcome to attend. Topics to be covered include:

  • Essential paperwork and deadlines, with a walk through the Erasmus year;
  • Best practice in setting up bilateral agreements and creating beneficial partnerships;
  • How and when to distribute funding to students;
  • Ways of preparing students for their placement abroad;
  • Preparing for audit and ensuring you meet the requirements of the National Agency.

Sessions are a combination of presentations and group activities. Day 1 will focus on incoming student mobility and Day 2 will look at outgoing. Participants are welcome to attend either or both days.

There will be a HEURO dinner on Wednesday 26th August, to which colleagues are warmly invited, and accommodation will be available in the nearby Ramada Coventry Centre Hotel for those who wish to stay overnight. If colleagues wish to arrive the day before, they are asked to make their own accommodation arrangements for Tuesday, 25 August.

Registration is now open using the link below. Please note that the registration deadline is 12 August 2015 and no refunds will be available for cancellations made after this date.

To ensure that HEURO members benefit from the members’ registration fee, please remember to log in to the members’ area of the website. As part of the registration process, participants will be asked to select which days they wish to attend, whether they require hotel accommodation and if they will join the Workshop Dinner. The emailed booking reference/invoice will itemise what has been selected but will only show a total price.
